Harvey Dent, a man who sees “both” sides.
Don’t let the kids see this one. It’ll give ‘em nightmares for days. Yes, our resident Bat-Detective LouieFoxHound has done it again. I’m here simply as the messenger. Apparently, a pre-rendering of Aaron Eckhart decked out in all his Two-Face glory, has surfaced. We here at the four11 have it for you to look at.
Now, before we get to that, I want to retouch on what Jeremy Smith, of Chud, said back in March regarding the technique they’ll be using to portray our coin-flipping villain:
“Christopher Nolan is experimenting with a fascinatingly schizophrenic depiction of Two-Face that will blend sane and insane line readings from Eckhart. Basically, Nolan shot complementary takes of Eckhart in Two-Face makeup so he could visually represent the duality of Dent in a less cartoony fashion. What Nolan’s doing doesn’t sound all that far removed from the Gollum/Smeagol model, though the obvious difference here is that Dent isn’t motion-capture; he’s a fifty-fifty split of the same actor giving two wildly divergent performances in the same shot. [...]“
Interesting indeed. It makes us very excited to see what kind of character Nolan will bring out on the screen. The good thing is, it’s very far (very far!) removed from the disaster that was Tommy-Lee Jones. He then goes on to say:
“Again, both will be present in the shot, but only one will dominate the poor bastard’s conflicted consciousness at any given moment. The technical audacity required in pulling this off may be the reason Two-Face was held back in the trailer.”
I know, dual takes! Every day, the movie just sounds better and better. Now the film was given a PG-13 rating, but don’t expect it to be mild. No not at all. The dark undertones will be thoroughly present, and I’m sure it’s something you wouldn’t want to bring the young ones to. Especially if Two-Face is going to look like this:
If this is just a pre-rendering. We can’t wait to see what the final product looks like. The big question still remains: Is it real? Highly likely. Especially since WB has been taking them down. Now if WB were doing that, it’s gotta be real right? right?….
RIGHT.

That can’t be real… I can see his bones!! And it seems like the wound still has to heal. It’s not a scar. He has no skin!!

WB wouldn’t have legal right to force removal unless they owned the rights to the image. Ima say real, whether its a final design or not remains to be seen.

I don’t care if it’s real or not. Even if they get it close with the make up, it f**kin’ rocks.

Well stated.

This Harvey Dent/Two-Face looks pretty damn sick, and if the in-movie look is similar to what we’re seeing here, I’ll be happy. Wooo, only a couple more months until Batman: The Dark Knight comes out. Here’s hoping it’s as good as Batman Begins (and for that matter, the recent, incredible, Iron Man).

This definitely seems like its real. If Dent becomes Two-Face in the Dark Knight then his face should look freshly burned…having burnt flesh, bones showing and peeling skin makes this seem like its a recent injury. I wouldnt expect the scarring to look more like the Two-Face we know until Batman 3

This is way better than the one of Tommy Lee Jones had in Batman Forever. It looks so real.

I saw Dark Knight the other day and Two-Face definately looks like the picture. I would say that the burn is more of a burnt red then the cripsy grey (lol). The side of his mouth is not that exposed either. Its alittle bit more covered but thats it and I forgot what happened with the hair…lol. The Two Face look is DEFINATELY NOT Tommy Lee Jones-ish and I thought it was the best part of the movie seeing Dent turn into Harvey Two Face. HEATH LEDGER IS MAGNIFICENT.
